Whistleblower system

Protection for whistle-blowing persons in the professional environment

Information on the implementation of the Whistleblower Protection Act

Initial situation
The German parliament has passed the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG). This came into force on July 2, 2023. The law implements the so-called Whistleblower Directive of the European Union into national law. The aim of the law is to prevent discrimination against people who want to point out violations of applicable requirements (laws, guidelines or essential internal company regulations) in a professional context and thus make an important contribution to uncovering grievances (compliance violations).

Reporting points
As part of our open corporate culture, we would like to encourage every colleague and third party to first report an incident or violation to reporting managers in the responsible department or contact persons. In addition, STÜBBE has set up a reporting point in accordance with the legal requirements of the HinSchG, which whistleblowers can also contact anonymously. This can be reached by post, telephone or email as follows:

ubb GmbH | Management consultancy Gabriela Beugholt
Walter-Bröker-Ring 8 D-32756 Detmold, Germany
Tel.: +49 5231 709344
E-Mail: hinweisgeber@ubb.gmbh

You can also contact an external reporting office, e.g. the Federal Office of Justice.

Required information
If you contact a reporting office with a tip, the following information is required

  • Facts / what violation is involved?
  • How can the incident be proven?
  • Did you observe the incident yourself?
  • What is your relationship with STÜBBE?
  • Name (optional)
  • Email address (optional)

Processing process
Incoming tips are processed by the reporting office in accordance with data protection regulations:

  • Documentation of the tip
  • Checking the tip
  • Information to the whistleblower
  • Processing the facts
  • Feedback to the whistleblower

The whistleblower system should be used responsibly. Without a specific finding, the presumption of innocence always applies to those affected. In addition to consistent compliance with all relevant data protection regulations, STÜBBE guarantees that incoming tips will be treated confidentially. STÜBBE does not tolerate sanctions or discrimination against people who report violations in good faith.
